Hello,

We are Jade and Max, and for the past five years, our mission has been to host an exceptional dance event in Aotearoa—one that deeply engages our local community while welcoming world-class international competitors and artists to our shores. These talented individuals not only compete; they give back by offering free workshops, sharing their knowledge, and connecting with our local scene.

Our goal has always been to uplift Aotearoa’s homegrown artists while providing the wider community with a FREE event that reflects our culture, values, and the spirit of unity we’re fostering together. Each year, we tirelessly work to raise funds through sponsorships and support from local businesses to ensure all the moving parts needed for an event of this size come together seamlessly.

This year, due to unforeseen circumstances, we found ourselves needing to rebrand and rebuild much of our marketing and social media from scratch. While we believe this will ultimately strengthen the event in the long term, it has made fundraising more challenging in the short run. We are truly thankful to our current sponsors who have committed their support, but we’re still short of the funds necessary to bring to life the vision we believe Aotearoa deserves.

Over the years, we have consistently used our personal savings to keep this event thriving, and that dedication remains strong. The dream will continue, even if it means digging into our own resources once more. However, this year, we humbly ask our community for assistance.

We are seeking help to cover essential costs such as sound equipment, media production, and compensating judges and DJs traveling to Aotearoa for the event.

This gathering is truly a labor of love, and as long as we are able, we will always find a way to make it happen—with community at the heart of everything we do.
