Transferring funds to a trust or an unincorporated association’s account

Updated

To set up transfers to a Trust account or an organization without a registration number or tax ID, begin by reviewing this article for initial guidance. The information below outlines the required documentation for this process. If you experience any difficulty uploading documents, please use our secure form for submission.

Please note: Canadian accounts are not able to transfer funds directly to an unincorporated organization. In these cases, please transfer to a personal bank account instead.

Unincorporated Association or Club

If your organization does not have an official registration number, please enter zeros (0000) when asked for your tax ID or registration number during setup.

You will be required to submit:

  • A registration document or club charter that confirms the organization’s establishment. This document must be signed and dated within the last year by a decision-maker you have listed in your transfer setup.

  • A valid, government-issued photo ID for each decision-maker you have added.

  • A bank statement in the organization’s name.

Trust Account

When setting up a Trust account transfer:

  • Provide the full legal name of the Trust.

  • You must either be a trustee or be in contact with a trustee of the account.

  • Determine whether the Trust has its own tax ID or is linked to an individual’s identity.

Our payment processor may request the following documentation for the Trust:

  • For the individual setting up transfers: Full name, email address, and clear images (front and back) of a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID.

  • For the Trust: If the Trust has a tax ID, please enter it and provide a copy of the official government registration. If it does not have a tax ID, enter the associated individual’s national identification number.

  • Proof of account: A clear image of the Trust’s bank statement containing:

    • Bank logo or official letterhead.

    • The Trust’s name as the account holder.

    • The bank account number you entered in your Aidinmotion account.

    • The sort code (for UK-based accounts).

Document Requirements for Bank Statements or Cheques:

  • Alternative to a statement: If a bank statement is unavailable, you may upload a photo of a crossed cheque that shows the entire document and meets all the requirements listed above.

  • Online banking: Screenshots are usually not acceptable. Please download an official PDF or image statement directly from your online banking platform.

  • Image Quality: The photo must be clear, in color, and show all four corners of the document.

  • File Specifications: The file must be between 100 KB and 2 MB in size, dated within the last 30 days, and in JPG or JPEG format.
