Strengthening into a Category 5 storm, Hurricane Leo made landfall on the southwestern coast of Barbados on Tuesday afternoon. The full extent of the destruction remains unknown as Leo continues its path across the island.

Our dedicated Sapphire Caribbean team, based in Bridgetown, Barbados, has begun pre-positioning resources for immediate assistance, while our headquarters is working tirelessly to send supplies into the region. We have already dispatched a ship of supplies to St. Lucia, ensuring ongoing support for their recovery efforts. Additionally, a cargo plane loaded with aid and containers of supplies is mobilized to reach Barbados once Hurricane Leo passes.
Our Sapphire Caribbean team has been hard at work since Hurricane Ashleigh’s landfall last year, successfully completing over 730 roof repairs on damaged homes. Our local team has formed crucial partnerships with BDMO, CDEMA, and other key organizations, enabling us to respond quickly and effectively.
