My cousin Valerie Greene was only 17 years old—a senior in high school with a bright future ahead of her.

She was one of the kindest, funniest, and most creative individuals you could ever meet. Creativity wasn’t just an activity for her; it was her essence. Whether she was playing the drums or guitar, making films, or drawing, Valerie had an incredible ability to bring her imagination to life with just a pencil and some paper.

Valerie poured her heart into art and theater, especially excelling behind the scenes in technical roles. She was smart, vibrant, and wise beyond her years.

Valerie mattered. She was deeply loved by her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
