Alaina Jensen was recently diagnosed with Class V dilated cardiomyopathy and heart failure. Her heart is currently functioning at only 15%, and the doctors at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin are not optimistic about its recovery. Alaina will undergo a heart transplant evaluation and is expected to be placed on the 1a status list, the most critical level. In the meantime, she may require open-heart surgery to install an LVAD device, which would help support her until a new heart can be found, allowing her to regain some sense of normalcy during the wait.
Throughout this journey, Alaina and her family have been surrounded by an incredible cardiac team at Children’s Hospital, including dedicated doctors, surgeons, and nurses who have offered unwavering support. The road ahead is uncertain and filled with challenges, but the love and encouragement from the community mean everything to the Jensen family.
All funds donated will go directly toward medical bills, travel expenses, and other essential needs that arise during this difficult time. The Jensen family deeply appreciates your support, prayers, and well-wishes as Alaina embarks on this transplant journey. Your kindness and generosity will help lighten the load and bring hope to Alaina and her loved ones.
