My name is Sofia, and I’ve been a literacy volunteer and tutor in Chicago and Wisconsin for 25 years. Right now, I’m volunteering at a Chicago Public School that serves a significant immigrant population. I am raising funds to assist students and their families with essentials like rent, food, and legal support during this challenging time. Unfortunately, our school lacks a PTA or affluent families who can easily mobilize resources in times of need.
