I’m reaching out on behalf of the Thompson family—Mom Lauren, Dad Michael, and big sister Ellie—as little Mia bravely faces a sudden and heartbreaking battle with leukemia.

It all started just a few weeks ago when Mia began feeling unusually tired and bruised easily. What seemed like a simple childhood illness quickly worsened, leading to urgent tests and a devastating diagnosis. Now, Mia is starting intensive chemotherapy and will spend the next several weeks, possibly longer, in the hospital as doctors work to give her the best chance at recovery.

This unexpected crisis has turned their world upside down. Lauren and Michael have had to step away from work to be by Mia’s side, and the daily challenges of hospital stays, travel, and caring for Ellie at home are adding up quickly.

Every donation will go directly toward helping the family stay together during this time—covering hotel stays near the hospital, gas and parking, meals, and other immediate needs so they can focus on Mia and each other without added worry.

We’ll share updates here as Mia’s treatment continues and new needs arise.
