This is truly one of my greatest fears—having to ask for help. Usually, I’m the one who quietly perseveres and finds solutions on my own, but for the first time in my life, I’ve found myself in a situation where I can’t do it alone.

On the morning of February 5th, my vehicle was broken into, and everything inside was stolen. Just when I was already trying to make ends meet, I lost nearly everything I rely on. My camera, a borrowed laptop, my passport, identification, and other essential gear are gone. Some items weren’t even mine to lose, and now I’m left with the responsibility of replacing them.

Unfortunately, my insurance isn’t covering any of this loss. Local surveillance footage turned out to be unhelpful, and the police have informed me that there’s nothing more they can do.

As a digital creator, the items that were stolen are not just “things”; they are the tools that help me work, create, and survive. I had these essential items in my car out of necessity. Without them, I can’t do the work that supports me.
